CHOOSE TO MOVE
Are you an older adult (65+) who is not regularly active and looking to engage in physical activity? If so, Choose to Move is for you.
Choose to Move is a 6-month personal planning and support program designed to help you be more active. Choose to Move is a custom program that fits all interests, goals, and abilities. Choose to Move provides the support you need to get moving.
Through Choose to Move you work with an activity coach to create an action plan for physical activity and receive ongoing support through monthly meetings, one-on-one consultation, and regular check-ins.

- YMCA Choose to Move (for those 65+, not regularly active, experiencing one or more chronic conditions)
SENIORS' ACTIVE AGING GRANTS
ABC has also formed a partnership with the United Way of the Lower Mainland (UWLM). The UWLM has put out a call for one-time, small, competitive grants to community organizations that serve older British Columbians.

FALLS & PREVENTION
Are you an older adult (65+) living in the Fraser Health region, who is interested in reducing your risk of injurious falls? If so, the Falls Prevention Mobile Clinic is for you. This free weekly clinic is targeted to seniors living in the community. The clinic travels to convenient locations throughout the Fraser Health region offering a personalized falls risk assessment. Working with a pharmacist, physiotherapist and kinesiologist, participants are assessed for vision, balance, medications and other risks for falling. Participants and their family physician receive a detailed report with recommendations.
